NQ Radio Announcers

Al Kirton – Announcer
Since the age of 20, Al has been part of the radio industry working at stations 4VL, 4CD, 4RO, 2ST, 2LT, 3BO, 4ZR, 4VL (again) 4KZ, KOOL FM, 4AY, KIK FM & 4AM.
Al’s former roles have included announcer, salesman, sales promotion manager, sales manager and part owner. He is a member of the CRA Quarter Century Club, Institute of Company Directors, Wireless Institute Australia, Innisfail Baptist Family Centre and is a licenced Amateur Radio Operator with the call sign of VK4FFKZ.

Glenn Johns – Announcer
Cracking his first gig at 5RM in the Riverland in South Australia late last century, Glenn has travelled far and wide gaining experience across the width and breadth of this sunburnt country in regional and capital city markets. Suffice to say he has worked every state except WA over the past 32 years.
Before joining the reprobates in FNQ, he helped set up an English radio station on the Thai island of Phuket with a multi-national cast and completed a 9-month contract at 7XS in Queenstown on the west coast of Tasmania – he is still thawing out.

“AJ” Adrian Harding – Announcer (Mareeba 4AM & Innisfail 4KZ)

Dan Anderson – Announcer (Kool FM)
Dan hates the cold so when he heard Kool FM was looking for a new breakfast announcer he jumped at the chance to escape Victorian winters!
Each day between 6 and 10am, Dan brings you laughs and a bit of silliness plus today’s best music. Dan is a qualified journalist, which is useful as he also compiles and reads our local news. When he’s not at the radio station Dan enjoys exploring our region, volunteering with the Innisfail PCYC and Friends of The Con, sleeping in and drinking copious amounts of tea.
Dan looks forward to hearing about what’s going on from Bellenden Ker to Cardwell and everywhere in between during the brekky show – get in touch via email koolbreakfast@koolfm.com.au or give him a call during the show on 40 617 983.

Pete Graham – Announcer (Mareeba 4AM & Innisfail 4KZ)
Mornings 9am to 11am

Matt Bridson – Announcers (Mareeba 4AM)
After he completing his senior year in 1978, Matt felt that radio was his calling. He started working for 4AM on a casual basis in 1980.
A year later, Matt was a fulltime employee. He presented fulltime up until 1999 and then continued on a casual role.
Matt can be heard every week day from 1pm – 4pm.

Bob Harding – Sunday Gold
Bob has been in radio for longer then he wants to remember …….he started his career at 4NA in Nambour and along the way has worked at 2KM Kempsey, 7LA Launceston, 4BH Brisbane, 4BU Bundaberg, 3WM Horsham, Ace Radio Network, Radio West Network, 2CHY-FM, Smart Radio Network and since 2004 with 4KZ, KOOL-FM, 4AY, 4AM and KIK-FM.
He dislikes being referred to as a radio veteran, prefers to be called a well-seasoned radio broadcaster having worked in most all aspects of the broadcasting industry, apart from the technical side.

Greg Vuleta – Announcers (Innisfail 4KZ)
Greg is an Innisfail local and joined the announcing staff of 4KZ straight out of high school at the age of 17 in 1968 and came back to 4KZ in 1988.
Greg has officially retired but can be heard from time to time as a Prime Time Breakfast relief announcer.
