Al Kirton

Al Kirton – Group General Manager

Since the age of 20, Al has been part of the radio industry working at stations 4VL, 4CD, 4RO, 2ST, 2LT, 3BO, 4ZR, 4VL (again) 4KZ, KOOL FM, 4AY, KIK FM & 4AM.

Al’s former roles have included announcer, salesman, sales promotion manager, sales manager and part owner. He is a member of the CRA Quarter Century Club, Institute of Company Directors, Wireless Institute Australia, Innisfail Baptist Family Centre and is a licenced Amateur Radio Operator with the call sign of VK4FFKZ.

June Williams – Office Manager

June has been with the Company since the early 70’s when she commenced as an office junior with 4KZ. June is also CFO and Company secretary.


Chantel Moucheron

Chantal Moucheron – Traffic and Administration (Innisfail)

NQ Radio Traffic and Administration Clerk, Chantal, joined the team in 2005 and is based in the Innisfail Office.

Chantal’s main duties include the scheduling of commercials on all NQ Radio Stations as well as accounts.

Chantal enjoys being part of a great team and looks forward to assisting listeners and clients with their enquiries for many more years to come. Chantal’s interests include gardening and spending time with her family.

Carla Snell

Carla Snell – Reception and Administration (Innisfail)

Carla has lived in the Innisfail area all of her life. Her first job was at a local supermarket and she worked in various departments. Carla commenced working at our Innisfail office in December, 2007. She enjoys assisting our many clients and listeners with their enquiries and needs, as well as being part of a great team. Her interests include camping, water skiing, walking, cooking and scrap booking, just to name a few.

Cheryl Mathison – Traffic and Administration (Innisfail)

Cheryl has been with the NQ Radio team since 1989 initially starting in reception and traffic for 4KZ.  After 7 years and then some time off for the birth of her first son, she returned to work in the accounts department for the next 14 years during which time she also got married and had 2 more sons.

When 4KZ purchased 4AM, Cheryl returned to her traffic role as that position needed to be filled straight away. Cheryl considers herself as a ‘people’ person and enjoys talking to regular listeners that have been phoning the station for many years now from places afar as Collinsville, Bowen and Townsville.
